Indiana does not have the scenic beauty of many states but we do have a bit of variety. Hills and the flat lands, rivers and streams, dunes, lakes and ponds, caves and rock formations and a few virgin timber forests. Many times it is a problem of being able to pull over for a photo.

Brandywine Creek - Hancock County
Brandywine Creek on the east side of Greenfield. This photo was taken on the morning of July 16, 2009. For more images of this area, click on "Greenfield".
Lawrence County
Returning from my Spring Mill Park trip on one of my favourite roads…Indiana Highway 58, I saw this view. Highway 58 is not a road to take if you are in a hurry or wish to take photos as it twists and turns and there are no places to stop and take photos. In this case there was a rural driveway with no house in sight, so I turned around and went back and snapped a couple of pictures.
Anderson Falls
Anderson Falls is about 14 feet high and 100 feet wide and is
part of a small nature preserve of 44 acres. The falls is located midway between Columbus
and Greensburg, nearly two miles south of Hartsville. For more views, click on Bartholomew County - Rural.
Flatrock River - Shelby County
A beautiful view looking northeast at the calm Flatrock river, nine miles south of Shelbyville. Another view can be seen under Shelby County - Rural. This photo was on September 14, 2009.

Countryside - Dearborn County
A hilly view in the morning just outside of Aurora. There were higher and better views but no place to pull over and park. I had to walk a ways to get this. This shot was taken on August 26, 2010.
Buck Creek - Marion County
An Autumn view of a very low Buck Creek in Paul Ruster park. We didn’t have a lot of colour this autumn. The photo was taken on October 21, 2009.
Pastoral Scene - Decatur County
A late lazy summer day and....a very dry one also. Taken on September 14, 2009.
Rural Scene on a Summer Day - Randolph County
A typical Randolph county back road which appears to go on forever. After taking a barn photo, I turned and noticed the view from where I had come. This was taken on July 1, 2010.
